'The Art of Teaching English'
All branch members of INOTE were treated to a wonderful conference on the above theme generously hosted by the Second Level Support Service for English. The conference took place in Loughrea Hotel and Spa on the weekend of February 27th and 28th. The opening evening saw John Quinn address delegates and, it must be said, he is enthralling. I think everyone enjoyed what he had to say!
The following day, Saturday, brought many workshops on topics ranging from Poetry to Drama, to Technology in the classroom (full details can be found on the INOTE.ie website). The conference was brought to a close with a meeting of INOTE.
We have high hopes for a successful future if this conference is anything to go by! I think it is safe to say we all were invigorated and indeed inspired by the whole conference. Much thanks must go to Kevin McDermott of the SLSS for all the hard work involved in organising the conference.
